im buying a kit from garrison and was wondering can i buy a 11.5" upper and perm. attach a 5.5" flashhider and how do i have to attach it to be legal? and is there any other options? like a perm fake can or something?

You can buy an 11.5" upper with a perma 5.5" flash suppressor already installed from a number of sources.

Other options?

-Go through the process of making it an SBR.

-Build it as a pistol.

-Get a 14.5" bbl with a permanent extended A2 FS.

-Get a 16" bbl and have the same sized package with higher velocity.

At 18 years of age, as long as there is no state or local law preventing it, you can make a SBR using a Form 1.  You can buy an NFA item from a private unlicensed citizen in your own state. You must be 21 years old to purchase NFA weapons from licensees (dealers).

In other words, you have no excuse.
