hi i have a quick question about the arms#40 on bushmasters website it says that i will need a taller front sight post to use the #40. is this true or did i read somthing wrong? by the way i have a bushmaster m4a2 if that matters

It depends, some say they do and others don't need it. Depends on thr front sight housing they use.
Colt gov't issue use a high front sight housing with the gov't issue rear sight inclding the KAC 300, #40, the new ranging piece of doo doo, and detatch carry handle, so no extra high front sight post is needed. I think Bushmaster use mostly the front sight housing desighned for the rifle length barrel.
