seen some for a good price, would it be as good as hp or fmj? function wise I just received some from Wideners. Have not had a chance to try it out yet. Won't get out till Monday, but don't expect any problems. I use 55 grain sp in my reloads and they feed just fine. I have used a ton of barnaul ammo in various calipers and never had any problems with it. It always seemed hotter than wolf. |

Just got back from shooting some of this - 55-grain SP from Wideners, $122 per 500.
Fired in a 16" RRA carbine with 1.5-5x Leupold scope - experience was very similar to those others have noted in the ammo review - function was flawless, accuracy was marginal. 2-3" five-shot groups at 50 yards - this rifle will usually do 1/2" five-shot groups at that range with high-quality ammo. Definitely worth the price these days for plinking or training, but its not a substitute for the good stuff for serious work. |

Worth a read. Again, I have no major problems to report, though my personal experience is very limited. |

Yeah I have read every post on there about all the different ammo types. So many people have different opinions about steel cased ammo and lacquer ammo that I just don't know what to do. I am just gonna have to give 500 rounds a try for myself. |
