which is better a stainless or the standard with the chrome plateing?

it all depends on what you are doing with the gun.

stainless is geared more towards the accuracy crowd (varmint/benchrest guys), chrome lined is geared more towards high volume shooters.

don't get me wrong----some chrome lined barrels are fucking tack drivers.
