I am building a m$ type for my son, the lower is all Palmetto arms but what type of profile should I get? I dont want a pencil do I? I am thinking of a 16 Inch length

What type of shooting? I personally prefer LW/pencil profiles for general use.

informal but out to 75 100 yards w/o issues. I want decent backup sights but probable a red dot or equivalent type,

is the light weight a pencil profile or the A2?

another vote for pencil or a LW profile.

M4 profile is just pointless.
