Hi all, I've been having some problems with my beta C-mag (at least, I think it's a problem with the C-mag). Here's the deal. Every 3 or 4 rounds or so, my AR will jam when feeding a round from the C-mag from the left side of the mag. The round winds up coming into the chamber at too high of an angle, smashing the round into the top of the chamber and pushing the bullet all the way back in the case. This type of jam only happens with the C-mag, none of my USGI 30 rounders have this problem. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this before? Can it be fixed by ordering a new feed tower for the mag? Could it be a problem with the rifle? BTW, I have a M4 feedramps... I tried using a different upper without the M4 ramps and I wound up smashing rounds from the beta mag into the upper receiver (they came in too low). This would have the same result, the bullet is pushed back into the case. Thanks in advance for any ideas or suggestions. |
IF you took the mag apart you are screwed. If new feed ramps do not cure the problem send it back to Betaco. Both of mine are brand new and I have not had any problems yet one is 5.56 the other is 9mm. Good luck Send Betaco a E-mail with your problem, the source is the best way to find info.

Check the gap between the feedlips of your Beta mag compaired with one of your USGI mags. If the gap is even a little bigger it will make fo feeding problems. I had a Beta tower that wore out from the points of the rounds. I sent the tower back to Betaco. I asked if the tower could be repaired, and contact me for the price of repair or replacement. They had me send the rest of the mag. The rep didn't say there would be any charge. Good luck with your mag. Scott |
