On a whim , I took some rifles over to the Harmarville, Pa. PGCA show this past
weekend,  and what should appear on Jeff's Highland Arms table...but a big pile
of EBR's !!!   Well after the smoke had cleared, I was able to come away with a
nearly new ,dept. trade-in 6520LE with minimal rack marks, and a new factory sealed 6920LE. This is the first time in many years I've had any ponies in the harum, and with
both pieces having 1/7 tubes; it's time to grab up some heavy ammo.  Quality on
these two looks a lot better than what I remember from the mid '80's.  It's an
interesting observation on BRD, that I hadn't had the weapons home for 3 hours
and I already had the M4 apart all over the workbench !!    Hey, it's my first
flattop !    Now all we need is some O rings and a couple of MIADs

When I left the show sunday afternoon, Jeff still had at least one new 6920LE
and a few dept. trade-ins in VG to Excellent shape.  He also had a match HBAR
stainless ( 1/8 I believe) that was a real temtation at $975.   Don't know if
he's got more of this kinda stuff on the way, but if so, I'm in serious trouble.
Can't speak for anyone else, but the 6520LE has got to be the sexiest piece
Col. Colt has ever made...IMHO !!!

i wish it was called "sipping the johnny walker blue label"... sure you can get drunk off of jim beam or even moonshine... but the blue label is nice and smooth and a joy to drink, there are no headaches the next morning and it doesn't leave a bad taste in your mouth just like any of my Colt firearms or parts...

Sweet! I've had a 6520 since '95. It is definitely a handy little weapon.

Still working on gettin' a camera to borrow.  The two I just picked up are bone
stock on the outside, except for MIAD's.....for right now.    The 6520LE will stay
the way it is: perfect !.    The 6920LE is another story; already got some basic stuff
on the way....if it winds up heavy as a BAR, I won't be surprised !!   The stuff
Colt is doing now is light years ahead of what I had in the past,  and the closer
ya look....well, you know !!
