I on my first build and need some info. CMMG FULL AUTO AR15 M16 BOLT CARRIER GROUP is it legal and is it better than a regular bolt that comes in the weapon?

The full auto designation is for the carrier. A bolt is a bolt.

Yes, full auto carriers are legal.

is it better than a stock one that comes with the weapon?

That would depend on which weapon and which BCG. The M16 designation in and of itself doesn't make it any better. A CMMG should be a nice BCG.

if the stock bcg is an ar15 bolt carrier, then yes the m-16 bolt carrier is better

How so and what do you base this statement on? Extra weight, shrouded pin? Neither of these make a better BCG across all applications.

The factory bolt carrier that comes with any given AR could be either an auto carrier or a semi carrier. Depends on the company and their standard or optional features.

If you're just plinking at the range, the stock bolt will be fine.
