How many of you use bore guides and if so what kind?  I have a precision ar and dont want to screw up the barrel by cleaning it wrong.  I already have a dewey coated cleaning rod, but think I should also have a bore guide.  Thanks for the input.

I use the Dewey bore guide as well as a Dewey rod.

I use this one too.  Works well enough for my needs.

Dewey guide, Dewey rod, Dewey jag. And I keep the CLP OUT of my bore!  Teflon leaves deposits, so if you have a precision rifle, stick with PTFE-free oils like Butch's Gun Oil or Montana X-Treme

Lucas bore guides are the best.

I made my own out of delrin.  It is a custom fit to my upper I.D, full length that butts up to the chamber.  It fits like a glove, and the cleaning rod bore is exactly centered.  For my next iteration, I need to copy the "big boys" and turn an extension that fits the chamber.

I like my JP Enterprises bore guide, but Lucas is also very good.

They're the only ones that do something other than keep solvent out the mechanism.
