I just got a broken shell extractor for 223.  The reason I wanted it was that I am using  reloads and I have to use a small base sizing die for my ar so the once fired 5,56 cases fit right. Now I have a feat they will be over worked and case a falure and I will be left with a part of shell in the chamber.

Have anyone here used one before and not just playing with it?
How do you use it, it looks like you shove it in the broken case as far as it will go close the action and then rack it back and it should pull the case out. then unscrew it to remove it from the shell. this correct?
