Hello.  I am new to the forum and to AR's.  Thanks for the great forum, there is a lot to learn here.

I have a question if you dont mind me asking.

I purchased a commercial complete buffer kit with a commercial magpul moe stock.  I would really prefer to go milspec over commercial.

My question is:  Is the only difference between the milspec and the commercial just the buffer tube? or are all of the parts (buffer, spring, castle nut and end plate) also different?  I was wondering if i could just by the tube or If I'm going to have to buy a whole new mil spec kit, should I decide to change it.

thanks for you help

I can be cheap, I'd just use what you got and forget about.  The tubes and stocks are matched with all of the other parts being interchangable.

yeah, i know i dont "need" to change it....I have mixed feelings about it...for some reason i have my head set on the fact that the milspec would be better.  i will probably end up leaving it but i was just curious if all of the other parts besides the stock were interchangeable. i may end up changing the MOE out for a CTR eventually.

Yes, the only thing different is the tube. And of course the stock that goes on it.

I've seen a few mil spec sized stocks (vltor emods mostly) hang up on the threads, when fully collapsed.  Commercial sized tubes don't seem to have that problem.
