[ARCHIVED THREAD] - buffer rattle please help

I just finished putting a 6 pos. stock on my originaly a2 upper after i put it back together i noticed a rattle noise when i tipped it forward or backward like something is loose. after taking it apart again i see that theres something in the buffer itself that makes this noise, i didnt notice it with my a2 stock. is this normal?

The buffer has individual weights inside. It's normal.

The sliding weights inside the buffer are what dampen the buffer & carrier when the carrier makes contact with the barrel extension as everything goes into battery. This eliminates "carrier bounce" particularily during full auto operation.

ok so now part 2 of my original question....the buffer in my old a2 stock was double the size of my new buffer is this going to have a huge impact on the recoil?

i might take my buffer apart to check doesnt seem to have that much weight

i think its an exellent gun for what i paid for it and it will be even better when i get my RIS in a week or 2
