Hey guys I was shooting my friends bushy the other day and the spring in his sounds different and feels like it absorbs the recoil a bit better then mine

my gun is a Stag

am I out of  mind or does his have an h-buffer spring and mine doesnt?

h-buffer spring

No such thing.

Buffers come in different weights.  normal, H, H2, H3, etc.

There are extra power springs available, but you'd notice the additional tension when you tried to cycle the action.

I guess you could look at his buffer it should have an H on the face of it if it is an H buffer.
Is his rifle a mid-length gas system?

If you have time weigh each rifle and see if it is the same weight or close. Make sure he has a standard gas system like yours. Do you have the same rear stocks? So many variables when it comes to recoil.

Sounds like a question "one" should have asked the fella whose rifle you were shooting........, as opposed to asking folks who weren't there and depending on the clarivoyant responses of those around here.

Different size gas ports between barrel makers feel different also when you shoot.
