I am the proud owner of a new DPMS LR-308. While I am currently scouting for a new scope I am flirting with the idea of mounting back up iron sights at 45 degrees. but I noticed the rail on the low profile gas block is .25 inch lower then the flat top, any suggestions for a remedy. I have never done buis to I don't know if it would even be an issue.

Any chance I can get a moderator to move this to optics and mounts? I figure it might get more exposure there.

As well it should be... technically.

BTW, I'm a GG&G front flip fan for my ARs and ARMALITE AR-10s.
