Elaborate, please. Don't get me wrong, the answer is no, but are you referring to the receiver extension or the extended buttpad? well im building a new AR 15 and am buying a mil spec buffer tube from a friend and I have a magpul MOE stock commerical on the end is an extension can you take that off and replace it with a extended pad will it then fit on a mil spec tube? |

It would "fit" in the sense that the stock would slide onto the buffer tube, but the commercial spec tube is of a larger diameter than the milspec. You'd get a rattly stock for your troubles. |

Mil-spec and commercial refer to the external dimension (diameter) of the receiver extension ie "buffer tube". The commercial is slightly larger so if you put it on a mil-spec tube, you will have excess slop/play As stated do not mix the two sizes. In my experience the commercial (CTR) sucks (not tight) even with a commercial tube. |
