You guys have talked me into the Ceiner 22lr unit....can't seem to find any in stock. Anybody have a source that has them in stock, please let me know! Yeah I know, should not have waited this long.... Thanks, Mike |
|
Try Rick Kuehl at his website Rick is very customer service oriented. |
Maybe. But I'll bet they can get $40 more for them too, due to demand. The kit will pay for itself in no time. 22lr is a hell of a lot cheaper than .223/5.56mm. The kits seem to be in short supply, so it's pretty much wait or pay a few dollars more for it to be in stock. Makes no difference to me, I have a Ciener kit |
|
Check Model 1 Sales. I ordered and had mine quickly. Click here. There's a link, since it's not really obvious to me where it is. It's under Lower Parts instead of Upper Parts which throws me everytime I go to look for it for friends. |
Roger that. I actually back ordered one earlier this week, I have know idea when I'll get it though. I figured I could be patient. |

A quick question.... Bushmaster's kits aren't the Ciener kits are they? I shopped a little before getting my Ciener and the reason I didn't get a DPMS or Colt or anything else was that they all limited to 10 rounds except the Ciener. I've got a Bushmaster catalog here in front of me, and their 22LR conversion mags look nothing like a Ciener mag so I was just wondering if they made their own mags for the kits or anything like that. |
They've got ciener kits for sale on their website. |
|
Found and got one ordered from Brigade Armory. They had several kits in stock if anyone else needs one. They are not listed on their website, but if you call they will fix you up! Will post results once it comes in and get a chance to run a few rounds through it! |
Currently out of stock, more should be in next week. |
Has it arrived yet? |
|
Brownells has been a long time seller of Ceiners. Kit with 10 round mag is "out of stock" but they have a kit with a 30 round mag listed for $179 That is regular price ( I believe it matches the direct Ceiner price) but if you have a C&R or a FFL (or law enforcement or mil credentials?) you can get a discount. Brownells ships quick and fair, they are good folks to do buisness with |
DAMMIT! This just made their catalog. I was gonna wait a while before ordering, but now that Arfcom knows about it, I had to place my order early! |
Brownells apparently has them in stock with the 30 rd magazine: Ceiner kit at Brownells |
Mine's on the way. When I saw this thread posted, I knew time would be short before the |

MacTec's website is showing ciener kits in stock again. MacTec's Website |
Thanks for the heads up, Just ordered a kit and 3 BDM 30 rounders |
And why you spent extra money on expensive mags when you coulda bought cheaper ones. |
After reading all the posts I could find on the subject I saw a few people that didn't feel the "cheaper ones" worked 100% without fiddleing with. I didn't see any posts that the originals didn't work. If I'm going to buy something I want it to work perfectly. I may have screwed up there but I like OEM. |
| I have had my Ciener kit for 4 years. I've used the factory mags, and now the after market BDM mags. I have had no problems with either and no failures that were not the fault of the ammo. As said though, the Ciener firing pin is good for about 18k rounds between replacement and you do need to clean it every 400 to 500 rounds. If this is at the range, I usually take it out, hose with rem oil, whipe off and start shooting again. |
| Well I must be an old timer. I have a Atchisson Mark III AR15/M16 Kit that I bought back in 1986 and I've loved it everytime I've taken it to the range. When I did first receive the kit with 2 30 rd mags I did polish up the ramp, that seemed to be one of the problems with the original kits. I have fired it in the semi and auto mode with 10, 16 and 20" barrels and found it very enjoyable and very accurate. I am looking to purchase some new 30 rd mags and was wondering which ones function the best? Thanks and I hope everyone that purchases a kit has as much luck as I've had. Happy Shooting!!! |
|
If my Blackdog Mags are any indication they are top notch. I bought 3 of them with the kit. I'm up to 1500 rounds now. I haven't cleaned the kit yet it yet only sprayed it down with CLP. I did run a brush and some patches down the barrel though. I'm curious how long it will take until gunk starts causing malfunctions in the kit. In the second mag I had it fail to cock the hammer twice, no problems since then. Using Fed Bulk pack from wal mart |
That's exactly what I'm seeing with the Federal ammo too. No problems with the Remington, even though the Federal is ~60fps hotter. Weird... |
I stopped using the rem bulk after I had 13 Failure to fires in one brick of 500 in my Buckmark. How much of the Rem have you used? I haven't messed with it for a while. I remember someone else posting about the hammer failing to cock that being a problem with the ciener kits as well though. |
Probably about 400... |
| placed order at Model1 over a week ago. Find out there on back order and have no idea when they will get more hinking.gif |
