Can I change my m-4 style front hand guard over to a Midlength handguard on a 16" barrel?  The barrel is a bull barrel, no notch cuts.

Would I just move the front sight base to a longer location, and re pin?  I guess I would need a new gas tube?  Or would the gas port be the issue on the placement of the sight base?  Do I need to replace the barrel?

Thanks for the Help.

Unfortunatley no. You'd need a low profile gas block inside the handguard and then a new front sight post. Either that or a new mid-length barrel and a new gas tube. Why, BTW, are you wanting to change over to a mid-length?

Toe ball,

Thanks for the answers.  Just something diffrent.  I got a camo midlength and was going to put on another ar but I think I might want it on the 16" instead.
