I wasnt sure where to post this one..Anyway i currently have a CMP upper A4flat top and  pre-ban 20" ss barrel being built by White Oak Armament...will come with floated A2 style forearm stock ..
Here is the question , when i recieve it i want to change the handgaurd into the round floated barrel type 2.25" and get rid of the front  "F" style sight post..how hard is this going to be?? I was thinking  about going to a short style front gas block to replace the front sight post ???
Any ideas comments would be great..
BTW..looking to do this to convert it to 3 gun use  since its already paid for anyway

It's not hard just requires some tools because you will need to remove the barrel nut and change it for one that can be used with a free float rail. Easy to do if you have the receiver blocks and a punch set to remove the gas block.

That's kinda what I've been reading. .. gas block recommendations?
Obviously will need to be a short one . Will need to fit under 2.25" handgaurd

Pretty sure the WOA front sight post is going to be one of their set screw adjustable ones.  So you would have to loosen the set screws and slide the FSB off.  The barrel will have the flats ground in it for the set screws.  Not really a problem, your gas block will cover them for the most part.  If you get one of the YHM types they make some that will cover both of the set screw areas.
