so I'm kinda going for a semi DMR type of deal with my carbine build.
I CAN NOT swing the bill for a real set of Deuck Defense RTS.

I got a 16" flat top stag carbine kit with a railed gas block and an A2 stock. (from the group buy)

I will be mounting a Nikon m223 1-4X in the nikon mount and I would very much like some 45 degree iron back up sights.

has anyone tried these? http://www.amazon.com/Front-Degree-Rapid-Transition-Backup/dp/B006X9DLQM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1350909183&sr=8-1&keywords=45+degree+sights

Any other clones anyone can reccomend?

I figure, as long as it mounts solid it can't be hard to get a sight right, can it?  they don't have to be perfect as long as they can keep a zero.

Yea, you would think 'it can't be hard' - but you'd be wrong. Those replica sights are probably as bad as any other chinese junk. You will be lucky if it even mounts up straight to your rail, much less that it doesn't wobble. You can forget about it 'holding zero'. Look, there is a reason the real deal costs money, and even though the democrats like to say otherwise, it's not only because the company wants to make alot of profit. It costs alot to design and build this stuff, and the same way they are 'cutting corners' by stealing someone else's hard work instead of designing their own, you can bet they cut corners on their production quality just as much - think about it for a minute and you'd come to realize that a replica ferrari is always going to be a turd...doesn't matter how much it looks like a real one, it will never be even close. That's the problem with replicas - they are only as good as you convince yourself they are because you wasted your money on them. Good luck, but I recommend against it.
