I think the bargain bin rifles are an ideal second rifle - they're basically mutt guns taken from part overruns and then built into very affordable rifles. Mine runs, but if it's a first rifle I think you'll be better served buying something you can ship back if it starts choking instead of being reliant on yourself and the interweb if it starts having issues.
Mine's great, but has since been relegated to a host for my .22lr kit. |

I showed 5 friends at work those rifles... they all bought one at the same time (last Christmas). They were all different, they all had different pistol grips and lower receivers. But every one of them hasn't had any problems as far as function goes. I think they are worth the money!
