What's the differences between Colt and other collapsable stocks? I keep hearing that there are differences between them, and don't know what they are. -U- |

The big difference is that the dimensions of the receiver extension ("buffer tube") on Colts are mil spec. This means that Bushy/RRA/everyone else's collapsing stocks won't fit on a Colt buffer tube. Vltor and LMT are the only others I know of that make mil spec buffer tubes. The reverse it true also: a Colt/Vltor telestock won't fit on a non-mil spec buffer tube. ETA: To clarify, when I say "won't fit", I mean it won't fit properly or it won't fit at all. |
