have it narrowed down between the fsc556 and the battlecomp 1.5. which out of the two would you guys recommend and why. I want the one that reduces muzzle climb and felt recoil the most, dont care about sound.... it is for my sons ar- so thats why im looking for those 2 charactistics specifically

Not sure about the fsc556 but I can tell you the Battle comp 1.5 is awesome.. Virtually no muzzle flip at all.. It is a little more percussive than I thought it would be.

Battle comp no doubt. I've had the 556.

Battle Comp all the way. Just bought one for my bushmaster and I don't think I'm going to shoot with any other compensator again. Well worth the price.

Hmmmm....let me go out on a limb here. I have both on 2 different AR's, and I like them both, but each one works a little different.I think that as purely a brake...meaning negating recoil, the PWS is better SLIGHTLY.... downside is that it vents a lot of gas rearward ( meaning it's doing it's job) and is VERY blasty rearward and out the sides. Battlecomp is a very good brake, and is loud, but not quite as sharp a blast, very little rearward but all out the sides ( and top ). Look at the direction the gases are vectored on BOTH comps you will see what I'm talking about. I think both/ either work well, remember we're not talking a hard recoiling caliber. Do I see myself selling all 3 of my PWS brakes for the Battlecomp ? Not hardly.....do I like the 1 installed on my new build? Sure do !
Hope this helps...

I just got a surefire MB556K, and I think it is much better then my FSC 556.

battlecomp is on another level ––the pws is garbage ––blasts your face with gas!

Battle Comp

It doesn't have the obnoxious blast and concussion typically found on a brake, and its flash suppression is about the same as an A2.
