| i posted this question in AR Discussions but i think i'll get a answer here quicker. how easy is it to do with a dremel tool and with it still on the barrel? i'm thinking of picking up a 1.5X4.5 scope for bush hunting this year and i don't want the front sight in the way. |

If you want it to look like shit, easy.
A big risk will be that when you grind off the rough edges, (assuming you're going to do this)you'll damage to your barrel. Then there is refinishing what you cut and ground away. Unless you're going to repaint your whole barrel, it won't match. . |
