You want to get the rifle extention (mil spec long tube with none of the notches like the carbine tube have) and you want the rifle buffer, which is about 2x as long as a carbine buffer.

I vote tubb's flatwire spring and a lr308 rifle buffer

I use that spring and a 7oz AR15 carbine buffer in an Armalite length tube. My Bushmaster orc308 overgas issues are no more.

Some also go the slash heavy route.
