The stock post would sight in, but it was screwed pretty far out as in you could daylight between the post's base and the FSB tower .  I just wasn't comfortable with it.  So I went with the taller post.  BM has them for around $5.

I'm having the same problem with my LaRue BUIS and BM FSB.

I'm currently using a Trijicon white dot front post because I hate the standard black post.  Does anyone know if I can get a white dot type sight post in this required  taller version?

same problem here with my larue and my RRA non-f.

ETA: after screwing with it some more, I finally got the front and rear to line up  with my aimpoint. So, if you fiddle with it enough it can work.

Not only would my stock Bushmaster FSB not line up height wise with my LaRue BUIS, but the tall post has to be screwed too far up for my taste (too close to the top of the proctective ears on the FSB).  Based on my experience, you'll have to get the tall post (from Bushmaster).  It will work for you.  The thing I don't like is that the post has to be screwed so far up to the protective ears, that it could be bent by snagging on a protruding rock, dirt or other object.  I'll  have to get a photo sometime as this subject keeps coming up.

Damn, I was hoping to avoid the tall front sight post.  Live and learn.
