MY RRA Elite CAR A4 will be at my house in two weeks.  I ordered the Yankee Hill mid length quad rail but am second guessing it now.  I really wanted to get the m73 Surefire but I found out today that it won't fit on my CAR.  Surefire said that the m81 is the one I need but they are back ordered for four months, fart!  I'm not so piticular about the brand, just need mil spec in mid-length/ two piece that isn't some three-piece cluster phuck to remove from the delta rings.

Thanks for the help, web sites and brand/model would be helpful.

By the way this is my first post.  I've been using everyone here for the last two+ months to get my new piece together.  I'll post pic's when I get it.  Lots of surefire, magpul, EOtech, ITT......  This gun is a direct product of the info I obtaied here.  This site is unbelieveable and there is a lot of knowledge here.

God bless America and God bless the American Solider!!hrow

Just wanted to add that I'm not ripping on Yankee Hill quad rails.  RRA only sells the ones that are three piece and require the removal of the fixed front sight in order the guards.  No good for me.  All of this info was provided to me by RRA.

Yankee Hill is a fine system, but is NOT Mil-Spec, and they will tell you so!  You may have some problems with some exact fitting accessories.  The Sure-Fire is reported to be mil-spec though.

Good luck!

Thanks for the reply Hershey.  Do you know of any mil spec rails besides Surefire?  This mid length fore end deal is turning out to be a pain in my nutz.

Hi, just read your email.   I'm very happy with the YHM leightweight FF.  I got it from RBPrecision and am very happy with the product and the service there, give them a call.   Definately go YHM over Surefire.  If you look around, you can prob find a pic of the Surefire from the side and it's about 1/4"  lower than the flat-top upper.  I didn't like that.  May not be exactly mil-spec but I know the military is getting more of them to add to what they have.
Sorry about the late response back to you.  I'm faster with IM since I can't check my email at work.
IM me for more info, I'll have more time tomorrow.
