| A 10" will cover most gas blocks on a middy rifle. If you can afford to go longer I would the weight difference is not much and if you ever plan to attach a bi-pod it is nicer to get it further out on the rail. I have a 15" FF rail on my primary AR which allows me to have a bi-pod attachment near the end of the rail and a handstop right behind it fairly far out on the rail. |

I don't have a pic to put up but I have the BCM KMR 10" upper with the lightweight fluted barrel.
I love it. So light. I have an Aimpoint PRO and a TLR-1 installed on it. Balances perfect. I added a hand stop as an index so I don't accidentally place my hand too far forward. I would have ordered a 13" KMR but they were out of stock at the time. Love the 10", no regrets. |
