do i need delta rings for a 2 piece hand guard?i have just a normal barrel nut. and a 2 piece is the route id like to take for cost.

like stated in most of my posts this is my first ar. do non free float rails use a regular barrel nut or a special/included one?

Do you have a barrel or just the nut ? Are there stock hand guards on there now. I just put a DD 2 piece on and you do need the delta ring.

As far as I know they use the stock barrel nut aslong as you have the delta ring on, once you get into the free float options some of them require a special nut.

im still finishing the gun so i dont have any guard right now just barrel nut.

so do i nee to buy the delta ring kit for a standard nut? or is there any guards that work with standard nut without the ring?

Do you prefer the lower cost of the 2 piece? Is there a front sight base to capture the front of the hand guard. Seems to me while your stripped down that far you should go with free float.

i want to go with one of those round free floats but i just got the barrel nut and feel kinda dumb for ordering with out research.

to install a as pictured barrel you need a

barrel nut
delta spring
Delta ring
snap ring
and the hand guard cap

for some free floats you can use the stock barrel nut like with the TROY alpha rails

otherwise a few free floats use a proprietary barrel nut to be used on there handguard only

I would also caution you to pay attention to assembly order as the delta ring assembly won't slide over the barrel if already installed.
