I just picked up a DPMS 308 16" barrel at Cabela's, and all that came with it was two mags, owners manual, and the hard case. I thought it came with cleaning kit and maybe a lock. anyone know?

Cleaning kit... NO. Maybe a lock but not always. If it came in a box it might have a cable lock with it, but not always.

Unless the box is still sealed it is pretty common for anything at a "big box" store to have stuff missing from the box. Too many casual employees messing with stuff and it ends up in the wrong place. Every once in a while you even get something extra stuck in your box.

I just bought a LR 308 Oracle from Cabelas a couple of weeks ago and the only thing it came with is 2 steel mags and a chamber flag. It also came with the hard case, instructions, and warranty card.

Thanks for the info, called store in Boise, ID spoke to the gun shop manager Justin just a great guy hes found a cleaning kit for me. Cabela's in Boise is just the best.

Dpms stopped adding in the cleaning kit last year. Luckily mine came with the kit.
