| I keep seeing people making fun of DPMS LPK's are they really that bad? IF so which lpk's are ok? |
| I had a major issue with the safety selector in my DPMS LPK. The detent notches are a completely different format than your 'standard' selector switch. This left a lot of play in my selector switch. I replaced it with a Hi-Standard and have had no further problems. |
| I have noticed that there is a 3rd postion on mine, it's in between safe and fire. The rifle won't fire but you can feel the click in the middle as you move from safe to fire, it will even stop there if you want it to. could be left over for F/A or burst fire that isn't on an ar-15 |

Its some left of material from when they cast the part. A small file will clean it right up with no problems. |

Have you been able to find a fix for it? |

There is a lot of play in the selector lever, but I wouldn't call it a major issue, however, if I could buy another kit without the play for $5-$6 more than the DPMS I would chose the other kit for my next build. |

I used a DPMS kit on my DPMS lower...a Stag kit in my Stag lower...and a Rock River kit in my Sun Devil lower.
To be honest, I felt the DPMS build had the smoothest functions after installation. YMMV. Initially, several parts kits would serve you well. I guess it boils down to what will still be going strong after 10,000 rounds. But with ammo availability and price, I don't see me getting anywhere near that. |
