I just bought a yhm riser for my eotech 512 to make it fit over the hand gaurds so i could mount it further forward.  My gun wont fit into its case with the sight on it so i will have to take it off when im done with it.  This is fine with me, but i have read the yhm riser doesnt hold zero.  Anyone have experiance with this? I am considering buying a larue qd but its a lot to spend if i dont really have to. Also, in looking at the larue unit, i noticed a little set screw in the front. why isnt it another lever? does that make it more securly attatched?

Seems like it would be easier to just buy a slightly larger bag that would hold the gun with the EOTech mounted.

ah makes sense. however it seems like if the gg&g lever simply replaces the original screw and is advertised to keep zero, that the stock eotech straight on the rail would as well, and all the yhm riser does is bring it up a bit.  id leave the riser on the gun. thoughts?
