| The last couple times I've gone shooting, I've been getting one or two FTEs per magazine, leading to doublefeeds. After stripping the mag out and letting the doublefed round fall out, I'll let the bolt return to battery and then cycle the action again to extract/eject the spent casing, which has yet to not work. After examining the spent casing, I can see where the extractor has removed brass from the rim as it tries to extract it. I've never run anything but brass-cased ammo through the weapon and the chamber gets cleaned after every trip to the range, so I doubt the case is getting stuck in the chamber (shooting standard Federal bulk pack 50gr HP). Is this a typical case of a weak extractor spring, or do I have a more serious problem here? The gun has run through at least 1000rds and this is just now becoming a problem. |

Try this (they also come in 3 packs.)
If that doesn't fix it replace the extractor too. What manufacturer is the bolt? |

Thanks for the quick replies. It's a stock RRA bolt assembly, so whatever crap they put in there is what I've got. I've been wanting to order a complete BCM BCG, I've just been putting it off to blow the money on bars and girls. Looks like I need to switch priorities for a little while.
I'm gonna order that extractor spring upgrade kit tonight. |

Had the same problem. I changed the spring and added O ring. Still had the same problem. Upon further inspection, I noticed the extractor pin holes were elongated, causing the extractor to malfunction. Changed extractor and pin. No problems since. This was on a Stag bolt with approx. 3K rounds. Hope this helps |
