is the Lake City 855 that is available seconds or rejected stuff? Just shot a bunch of Geco 55g through a 16", 1/8 gun and was very satisfied with the results. Immediately after that I threw some LC855 in and thought I switched over to my shotgun.!! No change except ammo and I was amazed at the results any comments or like experiences??? thanx TG |

No its not seconds, but it is Mil-spec type ammo which isn't known for its outstanding accuracy this, its just overruns or unfulfilled contracts I really dont know why anyone would waste their time with it, It tends to shoot like steel cased and 2x the cost. Many better brass loading for accuracy and/or for SD/HD |

Of course, but to flat-out reject it and opine "really don't know...." is pretty short-sighted. The Mil. has used M855 for decades and there's a whole mess of bad guys who would disagree with you, however dead men tell no tales... |

GECO 55gr FMJ shoots fantastic out of 4 of my AR's.... but truly hates my 2 BCM SS Match Barrels....the BCM match barrels shot the GECO like what you describe.
So, more then likely... your rifle likes the GECO, but shoots the XM855 normally. I expect at least 2-3 MOA with XM whatever..... for that matter any Mil-Spec M193 or M855 surplus as well. If you find one that shoots better then the other ... ( perhaps try PMC XTAC M855 )... then stock up on it. Ultimately.... you will find your barrel has all sorts of ammo it likes and doesn't like. |

Lethality, accuracy, etc If body count is the only criteria, m855 is even inferior to .22lr |
