Long time lurker, this forum has a wealth of info. Hats off to all of you and your amazing rifles. Just wanted to share my first completed AR and make my first post.
I assembled the lower, but I admit the upper was purchased complete :) I know I may get some flak running the kx3 in a non-SBR configuration, but I am pretty happy with how everything came together. Lower: JD Machine stripped lower Core15 lpk Spikes Tactical buffer tube kit Magpul STR Upper: VLTOR MUR-1S upper AR Stoner ceramic BCG Rainier Select MEDCON 14.5" barrel (1:8 twist) BCM lo-pro gas block and mid-length gas system Charging handle with Badger Tac-Latch Noveske KX3 (of course!) Midwest Industries SS-Series free float hand guard (15" in length) Optics: Meprolight M21 (with bullseye reticle) https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/28838851/ar2.jpg Hopefully I can make it out the range next week and test her out. |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe your rifle is a SBR. Did they pin that pig? Nice first build btw. |

Pig was pinned so overall length is over 16" I guess I was thinking of configurations where the barrel length was still less than 16" even after kx3 is installed. |
