Getting ready to build my first ar. I can get a Mega Arms Model Gator or and Anderson AM15 stripped lower for $60 a piece  ( both stripped ) and BCM-URG-MID-16 upper for 200 and a  delton upper for 150.00.
Can you guys give me any advice on these items ? Is one better than the other ? Should I get BOTH ? What else would you need to complete the build ?

Nothing against Anderson, but Mega is one of the top manufacturers when it comes to lower receivers. As far as the uppers, For $200, I'm assuming that BCM upper is used. As long as its in decent shape, that would be the way to go. BCM is a very high quality maker, I have a few of their uppers and all run flawless.

Mega makes some very good stuff and have for several years. I have no personal experience with Anderson but they have a favorable reputation on this site.

BCM vs Delton is like comparing a Zero Tolerance knife to a pointy stick.

I've become a big fan of the WOA LPK. I've never had an issue with their installation or function like some of the other companies I've tried.

WeaponOutfitters (a dealer here) offers the WOA LPK with the ability to customize the trigger and grip and other pieces. You save money and get exactly what you want.

I don't see a buttstock with receiver extension, buffer, etc. listed.

Do you need sights for the uppers you're looking at?

BCM RE KIT with H2 buffer. All day every day.

Stock is personal preference mostly. The new rev of the B5 SOPMODs are very well made and priced right.

Mega and BCM.  Anderson and Del-Ton are fine, but are economy manufacturers.  Mega and BCM are much higher quality.  I like a Spikes LPK (no fcg), with QMS trigger.

Go with Mega on the lower if those are you choices. I have never owned an Anderson lower but if I were to go with a forged lower for cheap it would be an Aero precision (they make great lowers that you can sometimes find very cheap on sale. I found mine for $49 on Brownells a few years back)

BCM is mucho better than a delton.

You need a lower parts kit. I put together my own parts kit from higher end parts KNS, Battle arms development, V7, ALG, etc but if this is you first build I would keep it simple and use a standard kit. Most of the kits are all the same. CMMG, Aero Precision, etc. I used CMMG on my first build just get rid of the pistol grip which is sh-t. Ergo makes great AR pistol grips.  Back up iron sights (BUIS) are always a must. I really like the magpul metal MBUS pro sights. You can also do an optic. That's just my 2 cents others will have other opinions

If you can buy the mega gator lower for $60 then fo. I've never seen then less than $90, and that on sale. Maybe I've never looked hard enough. I paid $110 for my gator lower 3yrs ago
