[ARCHIVED THREAD] - first build

hi guys im new here . been reading for a while though . I wanna start a build. I was thinking a J&T CAR kit . What would be a good lower to use ??? doublestar? or Del-Ton . I am really on a tight budget too.

I used a doublestar lower and a del-ton upper kit. Shoots great!!

my room mate and I have ordered 3 doublestar lowers from del-ton in the past month and have been very pleased with them. I wasn't even aware that del-ton had their own lower.

The Double star lowers aren't listed on Del-ton's website. How would i go about ordering one?

If you are not an FFL holder, you will need to get a licensed dealer to order it for you. I would call Del-ton for details. I had a local gunsmith order me a Fulton Armory lower. Great quality, but pricey. I would say any of those lowers you mentioned would do fine. Good luck with your first build! Next step:Join the NRA and AR15.com!

good luck and welcome, J&T is a great company, excellent products and service, the double star lowers are great, the guys on here like del-ton and J&T, call each and see who has better prices and who can ship the fastest. check the equipment exchange for great deals also
