I don't know how many of you suffered from this malady with your first build but I have read and read and I still can't seem to decide what to do... this is murder. Allow me to vent? My budget can handle (though not sure about my frugality gene) the top end stuff but I wonder if I should go a little more moderate on my first builld. The only thing I have at the moment is a Spikes stripped lower I picked up during the group buy. I presently have a 20in bushmaster basic a3 which I have had zero problems with - wanted (yep I really don't NEED anything) a carbine length - maybe an m4 or even a light weight. I think I want something I can rely on for self-defense (though frankly l lean more towards a shotgun there). When I read the forum I see the consensus best for resale is colt - but If I went colt for resale - I think it makes more sense to do a complete 6520 - not a build - that being said I read the LMT & bravo company uppers seem to have the most consensus (not sure about this NOVESKE I see on the site). Reading the forum I see a nice recommendation... MPI, PRESSURE TESTED, SHOT PEENED BOLTS, PROPER STAKING OF THE GAS KEY, 4250 CHROME INED PRESSURE & MPI TESTED 1:7 TWIST, 5.56 CHAMBER WITH M4 FEED RAMPS, FORGED FSB W/ PARKWERIZING UNDERNEATH, TAPER PINS FoR THE FSB & MILSPEC SIZED RECEIVER EXTENSION (BUGFFER TUBE) W/ STAKED CASTLE NUT... Having said that... ideas on best price which satisfies the above? Thanks for letting me vent. |
