Ok so my wife ordered me a YHM annihilator flash hider for a anniversary present it pretty vicious looking but anyway I took off the standard birdcage hider and installed the YHM, new crush washer that came with it and cinched it down with pretty much the same force used to remove the bird cage . The issue im running into is I noticed the crown of the barrel sat flush to the bottom of the birdcage but there is a gap of maybe 3/16 between the YHM and the crown is this normal?

As long as the FH is indexed correctly you should be fine.

ETA okay it looks like it doesn't need indexed. You could tighten it some more if there is still any "crush" left in your crush washer.
