| Does anyone know where I can get one of those fancy cases that are lined w/ foam that fit the contour of your gun, mags, optics, etc? I've seen a few guys on here that have pics of their guns in them. Any info would be greatly appreciated. |

Starlight makes the high quality $$$ cases too. They and Pelican seem to be the nicest ones I have seen mentioned here. I just picked up a couple of Starlight double rifle cases with wheels and everything for around $80 each from Sams club. But Sams seems to not have these in stock in most stores, and aren't planning on getting more. Normally they are closer to $200 with the wheels I think. Check the Equipment Exchange on here too, there are some good deals to be had. www.starlightcases.com Most of these cases require you to cut the foam out yourself. They give you a big piece of foam and a knife , and you cut to fit. I don't know of any brand that come cut to fit already. |
There are still a few Sams Clubs with them in stock, you just have to look in the right places. I found a couple in GA that had several still in stock, and I picked up 2 just about a month ago. Search on the Sams Club website, you can find out who has them there. The case seems like it is well worth the regular $200 price, for $80 it was a steal, which is why I got 2. I didn't realize the Pelican cases came precut. I'm guessing you'd still need to trim them to account for scopes, mags, etc? |
Who or What distributor actually has them precut??? I call my Pelican Distributor out of Texas, and he didn't know anything about the pre-cut M16 styles. I have an email into Pelican to get further information. Thanks, Edwin |
