| I was wondering if anyone has guidelines on how far forward or back to mount a foregrip. I realize a lot of the placement may be based on preference but I would like any knowledge pertaining to objective standards for the mounting position. thanx craig |

i like mine 2/3 of the way down the forearm. if it's back close to the magazine i can just as easily grab the mag and do the same thing. i also like to shoot from an Olympic offhand position so i have 4 inches of clearance to put my palm on the forend. i mounted an uncle mikes sling swivel for a bypod at the very end and the vert grip is just clear of that. do you have one? where do you think it's most comfortable for you? how many different shooting positions can you get in and not have it in your way? can you use it as a "stop" when shooting sitting or prone? |
