went snooping around some small gun shops/ pown shops yesterday and came up with a few boxes of .223 1 box of what i am assuming is the south african everyone speaks of... head stamp says DNL 223 rem.. box says manufactured in south africa, by Denel (pty) ltd. http://img456.imageshack.us/img456/1064/march070022iq6.jpg 2 boxes of unkown ammo, also 30 rnds a box. Owner of shop said she thought she might have some more of this stuff upstairs and to call back tommorow. box says 5.56 X 45 mm ball M1A3. on the side it has, 817A88Z. head stamp reads 88 13. any ideas on what this stuff is, or is it any good? http://img157.imageshack.us/img157/480/march070012ew7.jpg http://img387.imageshack.us/img387/6650/march070032fh3.jpg just as a FYI I payed 5 bucks a box for each. The 5.56 was marked 5.95 on the box but she gave them to me for 10 out the door. She seemed happy just to make some sort of sale. figuring the current price i didnt think it was a bad deal for 30 rounds. |
