im picking up my m&p10 saturday and was thinking about the usual.........taking something brand new apart and modding it.lol.....anyway for those of you that have free floated yours did you see a increase in performance?also which rails will fit it besides the troy?

Troy and Midwest Industries, I went with MI. They make a 15" but I chose the 12" to help keep weight lower. Older picture, before the swap to Leupold VX-6 1-6x and a Larue mount.

I went with the MI keymod in 12".  It comes with the barrel nut.

Did the same thing. Turned out great, just remember to buy the longer dust cover door rod.

is the stock barrel nut a bitch to get off?it seems every factory upper i disassemble gives me fits!
also i think these guns come with a lifetime warranty.does removing the stock nut mess up the warranty?
