i have an armalite midlength ar and i wanna put a railed forarm on it. i was looking at the daniel defense omega 9 and the daniel defense lite rail..my question is if i went with the lite rail which one would i need to go with length wise

The same length. But the Omega rail will drop right in, while the lite rail needs the fsb and barrel nut/delta ring removed. The DD lite rails also have a special barrel nut wrench you need to purchase.

whats the best route to go because both are really close in price around 275 for the omega and the lite rail is around 300 then another 20 to 30 for the wrench . and then you have the daniel defense tactical free float rail for around 300 as well too many choices any help would be appreciated

First you need to decide between the drop-in type or the more involved remove-the-fsb and use special tool type.

The Lite is lighter than a standard set of handguards. It is very nice. But you need to find someone with the skills to put it on.
