ever since installed my free float handguards i have been plagued by problems. Today my ciener kit stopped working. it works fine in my other ar. however it seems like it doesn't seat all the way now. hard to close the upper and lower. and it draggs when i attempt to charge it. its binding somewhere Using 556 everything works OK for the first few rounds. then one round will jam and FTE. it gets lodged in the chamber so tight i have to resort to the buttstroke method. any ideas? anything i should do before having to find a Armorer to send it to? |

Could be a couple of things, 1. You didn't back up, didn't used the upper receiver block insert/over torque the upper receiver when installing the barrel (nut) and either crushed/twisted the upper receiver. 2. You didn't get the barrel indexed correctly in the upper (confirm that the barrel feed ramps are dead center of the front lug). 3. You didn't install the gas block correctly on the barrel gas port or have aligned the gas tube to the carrier key correctly. |
I would like to check a few things before having to send it send it off. Can anyone recommend an armorer? |
