I finally saved some cash for a different setup. Im going to get free float handguards, and a low profile gas block with a flip up front site. how much of a pain in the @$$ is this going to be? I have to knock out taper pins which i hear isnt that bad (i dont always believe what i hear) , but i have a 14.5 inch bushmaster barrel with permanitly attached flash hider. do i really have to take off the flash hider to do this project? need help guys! thanks! |

Taking off the front site isn't to hard...just make sure you have the correct block to hit in to...I us a Hockey puck...works for me...just hit from the big end...examine both side...one side is slightly larger...use the correct punch for the job too...Brownell's has excellent sets for roll pins too. I not sure, but I think the FH may need to come off to accomplish what you are trying to do. I would get a gun smith involved if that is the case...sounds paranoid, but I wouldn't want an illegal SBR rifle in my home for any amount of time....jusy my 2 cents...unless you are able to posess a SBR that is |
