However it suits your shooting style and grip.

For what its worth, here is how I run mine...

Also worth noting, I have this weapon setup identical on both sides for abmi use.

Furthermore, I run my light on the outboard side ( I'm a southpaw ). I use a Surefire SR-07 tape switch mounted at 12 o'clock for the same ambi functionality.

It depends. Remember the GS mounts are like Barbies for men. Well okay, Lego for men.

I think I moved mine a dozen times before I got it right. You will too. I just tried different spots until it felt right. Everybody has different sized hands, and different length fingers. I run my light like Jason does without a tape switch. I use my support hand thumb to activate the light.

Just curious.  Why not go with a GS handstop AND light mount?  Unless you've already got the Viking mount, of course.  Not knocking the Vicking mount, it's the first one I was looking at as well, but once I found the GS mounts I pretty much forgot about the Viking mount.  I also get that the Viking is half the cost (depending on the exact mount), so if that's the issue I understand.

As to the foregrip, how many opinions do you want? ;)  I'm guessing there are as many as there are grips.  Also depends on what you are looking to get out of it.  Personally I like the Troy modular VFG as I like the ability to switch from full length to stubby.  There are others that do it as well, but I like the Troy one for whatever reason.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but what's the reasoning behind the handstop at the very end (bottom) of the rail?

Love the pics of your rifle, btw.  Is it duracoated, painted, what?
