[ARCHIVED THREAD] - hard coating

i purchased three dpms lowers about two years ago and did not inspect them well.
as i assembled my first rifle last year i noticed that the hard coating was not present in the hole
for the bolt catch spring and the hole for the buffer retainer, i not complaining about this problem especially
two years later, but can i do anything to fix this issue.

I wouldn't even worry about trying to fix those spots. If the springs ware through the lower in the next 100 years because I was wrong I'll give you one of mine.
