i am looking for a scope for my 20" 1/7 rifle for 200-500 yds. I am interested in a BDC reticle. I already have a Larue LT-104 mount. I want something that will hold 0 if i swap it over for my EoTech. i want to go inexpensive as possible - under $400 if i can, or close to it. i'd like something a little smaller, and a larger aperture. i recently tried a Leupold Vari-X III 6.5 x 20 x 50 = it was an awesome scope, but way too big.

i have looked at a trijicon 3x9 accupoint locally, but it is a little out of my price range and not BDC. i have read about Falco 4x14, and Nikon Monarch 2.5x12(10?) ... no one has experience and the local "gun store" specializes in selling to the "rich" = $1000 scopes, $900 Century AKs, $1500 DPMS .223s ,,, you get my drift - no help here.

thanks for your opinions.

Our Viper 3-9x40 or 2-7x35 both come with BDC reticles and are under $400. In fact we even have a $50 mail in rebate right now.
Lots of people really like the Vipers. I haven't seen as much feedback here, but they get high praise over on Sniper's Hide.
If you have any more questions about them just let me know. Thanks!

Almost forgot, here's the link to them on our website: http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/vortex-viper-3-9x40-riflescope-dead-hold-bdc-reticle

The problem with BDC is that they work with one ballistic coefficient at a specific velocity.

Are you going to limit yourself to the 62 grain mil-spec load? That is what the vast majority of BDC's for ar's are registered for.

Some are registered for the 55 grain mil-spec load. Make sure of what you buy then forget shooting anything else using the BDC for holdovers.

Take a look at the leupold AR series.

Burris also makes a line of ballistic plex scopes.
