Just got done with my build and have been tossing around what to put on for a scope, I have several narrowed down. Will be using it for coyotes and some prairie dog shooting. ranges anywhere from close up out to 400ish yards. I have 3 in mind–– 1. Burris, 2-7x35, Burris 3-9x40.   2. Leupold VX-II 2-7x33, Leupold VX-II 3-9x40.  3.Bushnell Elite 4200 3-9x40. I have several Leupolds on other guns, never had Burris or Weaver but thought I would like to try some thing different from what I already own. Can any of you guys shed any opinions on these? Thanks

I have several Bushnells on hunting guns of mine. For the money, they're good. Really, haven't had an issue for anything I've used them for - they're clear, bright, and hold a zero. But lately, I've been on a "Buy USA" kick, and as far as I can tell, Bushnell's are NOT manufactured in the US.

Never used a Burris, though I hear that some of their scopes are US made.

Leupold scopes are US made, and the one Leupold scope I have is nice, but it was pricey, and I'm all for supporting US companies, but there is a limit where supporting a US company is just a little too expensive.

Have you looked at Vortex I haven't seen one in person. Their warranty is awesome. There is also a thread review on the 1-4X scope they make, and the optics look quite nice in the photographs. The PST is much more expensive than what you're listing as your choices, but they do have some scopes in your price range. And again, the warranty is awesome, and its a US company.

I went back to Leupold, ordered a Mark AR 3-x40. After much reading and looking I settled on this on. Thanks for your input.
