I see some talk on here about navigation LED's and thier usefulness but i havent see anyone actually post up how to make one for a 1913 rail?

Anyone done this? It cant be that hard there's less that 10$ worth of parts here. seems a whole lot cheaper to me than a new M3 with one of the LED's on it.

Anyone know how well they stand up to abuse? I wouldnt be so worried about it on a carbine in .223 but maybe on a handgun it wouldnt be so great.

Ingredients:

1 Photon Micro-Light or similar
1 KAC rail panel in the length of your choosing
1 Dremel tool
Heavy-duty double-sided tape

Lay the rail panel flat on your kitchen counter. Using a pencil or china marker, trace the outline of the Micro-Light onto the non-locking end of the rail panel (so that the tip of the LED is just past the edge of the panel). Grind out the plastic inside this area with the Dremel to form a pocket with a flat bottom. Using a small piece of double-sided tape, secure Micro-Light into rail panel...

You should be able to apply pressure to the switch-pad of the Micro-Light with your thumb, finger, etc.

Enjoy,
Clint
